CLEVELAND (WJW) — A fortunate player in Northeast Ohio is holding a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $112 million, following Friday night’s drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Giant Eagle located at 4401 Mayfield Rd. in South Euclid. The winning numbers for the April 21 draw were 5-13-15-17-28, with the Mega Ball being 1.
The winner has up to 180 days to claim their prize, and they can choose between an annuity, which would be paid over 30 years, or a lump-sum cash option of $49.3 million.
This marks the first jackpot-winning ticket sold since the launch of the new Mega Millions format on April 5.
Ohio has seen 21 Mega Millions jackpot winners and 65 second-tier winners of $1 million or more since joining the game.
