The Powerball jackpot has risen to an impressive $100 million after no one won the top prize in Saturday night’s drawing. In fact, no one won the second or third-place prizes either, leaving players disappointed and hopeful for the next drawing.
The winning numbers from Saturday’s drawing were 16, 22, 44, 45, 53, and the red Powerball number was 19.
Had someone won the jackpot on Saturday, it would have been worth $89 million. Second place would have earned $2 million, while third place would have taken home $1 million. But with no winners, the prize pool continues to grow.
To win the Powerball jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order, along with the red Powerball. The winning numbers are drawn from a pool of numbers ranging from 1 to 69, while the Powerball is selected from a separate pool of numbers between 1 and 26.
Powerball tickets can be purchased at any New York Lottery retailer for $2, seven days a week. The deadline for purchasing tickets is 10 p.m. on drawing nights. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m. The New York Lottery encourages players to buy their tickets early to avoid long lines.
Players can also check their tickets easily on the New York Lottery app.
For those who prefer to play online, official New York Lottery tickets are available at Jackpot.com. Plus, new players can get a free ticket with their first deposit.
The New York Lottery remains the largest and most profitable lottery in North America, contributing $3.8 billion in the 2023-2024 fiscal year to benefit public schools in New York State.
