Austrian Player Wins Record €243 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

by Nancy

An Austrian player has claimed the record-breaking EuroMillions jackpot, securing €243 million with the winning combination of numbers 10, 21, 30, 42, 45, and stars 1 and 9.

The National Lottery and France’s Française des Jeux (FDJ) confirmed the win early Saturday morning on their official websites. Initially, it was reported that no one had won the jackpot in Friday’s draw, raising expectations for another chance to win in Tuesday’s upcoming draw. However, it was later revealed that a lucky winner had indeed emerged.

This marks the largest EuroMillions prize ever won since the lottery’s inception in 2004. The jackpot for the next draw will be considerably smaller, set at €17 million.

The previous record was held by an Austrian player who won €240 million in 2023. In Belgium, the highest EuroMillions prize is €168 million, and since 2005, 41 Belgian players have won significant prizes.
