Over 34,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws. One lucky player claimed a huge €500,000 prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw.
Meanwhile, another player took home €127,814 from the main EuroMillions draw after matching all five numbers.
However, there was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot, which now stands at €39,576,503.
The numbers drawn in the main EuroMillions draw were: 3, 31, 33, 38, and 44, with Lucky Stars 6 and 12. In the EuroMillions Plus draw, the numbers were 1, 3, 9, 10, and 12. The Irish winner of the Plus draw matched all five numbers to claim €500,000. The winning ticket was sold in Dublin.
In addition, 76 players matched four numbers, winning €2,000 each. Ten more players won €5,000 each in the Ireland-only raffle.
Earlier this week, a player from Wicklow became Ireland’s newest millionaire, winning the €1,000,000 Daily Million top prize in Monday’s draw. The winning numbers were 2, 10, 12, 23, 34, 37, with the bonus number 8. The National Lottery confirmed they have notified the Wicklow winner by email.
This win comes just hours after Rory McIlroy made history by securing a career grand slam with his US Masters victory. National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer playfully remarked that the Wicklow winner is “slipping on a green jacket” of their own.
“It’s been an incredible year for the National Lottery,” O’Dwyer said. “So far, we’ve made 10 millionaires this year, and we’re just getting started!”
