A Mega Millions ticket sold in Indiana has won a $1 million prize, missing the $324 million jackpot by just one number, lottery officials confirmed. The ticket matched five of the winning numbers but did not match the Mega Ball in the drawing held on Friday, March 21.
No one won the jackpot, which has now grown to an estimated $344 million. The cash option for the next drawing, scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, is approximately $161.5 million. The winning numbers from the March 21 drawing were 15, 22, 31, 52, and 57, with a Mega Ball of 2. The Megaplier multiplier was 3x.
In addition to the $1 million prize, over 570,000 other tickets sold across the United States won prizes ranging from $2 to $30,000.
The Mega Millions jackpot has not been won since January 17, when a ticket in Arizona claimed the $112 million prize.
